Guidelines for Student Organizations

Registered student organizations are expected to abide by University regulations such as those noted below in addition to local, state, and federal laws. The Student Organization Handbook  is distributed at the Officer Training, which each organization must attend once a year when officers change. (Contact Campus Life for additional information.)  Both officers and advisors should be knowledgeable about policies pertaining to these matters:

 

  • Alcohol - Serving, Possessing, and Consuming Alcoholic Beverages on Campus (Policy Statement 78)
  • Concentrated study period
  • Corporate sponsorship guidelines
  • Distribution of printed material on campus
  • Due process for student organizations

  • Peaceful assembly
  • Requests for off-campus groups and fundraising
